Skin Care Review: Paula's Choice extra emollient moisturizer

by Vivian Hiatt-Bock, Portland, OR Multnomah

The cream removed the dryness from my skin, did not exfoliate.

Didn'thelp with roughness; i had to use AHA which caused inflamation.

My age is 78 years. I formerly had dark brown hair, now it is ivory white. My eyes are hazel, and my skin tended to freckle in youth but tanned poorly. My skin has become more dry over the years and is allergic to perfume and sensitive to strong solutions. I have always appeared younger than my years, but the wrinkles are catching up now. Alpha hydroxy acid (8%) when used several times a week prevents the strong skin reaction, but is a disagreeable process. Paula's Choice cream has been satisfactory, but without AHA use, I can detect a growing roughness.

I want to try a retinol based cream that doesn't require use of AHA.

Price (paid by reviewer)
$13.95/ 4 oz.
