Cosmetics / Makeup Tip: Foundation vs. tinted moisturizer

submitted by Chris, Croton-on-Hudson, NY US

If you've been using foundation for a long time and haven't given it much thought, I urge you to reconsider. I have oily skin, which has only recently become more "normal" in my mid-40's. Because of this, I have never needed much moisturizer. As I'm getting less oily, I've discovered tinted moisturizers (maybe the rest of you have known this all along...), which really enhance my skin. You need to try a few different brands to find the right shade for you but you'll find they give an enhanced no make-up look of younger skin. I didn't realize the foundation was "aging" me until I switched and receive many compliments. It might work for you too.
