Skin Care Tip: Dairy-free diet improves acne

submitted by Laura, London, UK

I found that cutting out milk and all dairy products stopped the formation of cyst like spots. The hormones in cows milk (skimmed milk in particular) can trigger acne breakouts. I've read a lot of articles about this and although I don't know the scientific facts about it, it does seem quite a common suggestion to acne sufferers. Worth a try surely!

Use Soya Milk. Costs and pretty much tastes the same. You will also find in most supermarkets and larger grocery stores a range of "milk free" products including cake, custard, chocolate, muffins so you don't have to cut all the fun stuff out completely when you fancy a treat! The only thing I do miss is cheese but I can live without it!
