Skin Care Tip: Braving the Obagi program

submitted by Linda anklam, tracy, CA USA

I braved the harsh treatment of the Obgai System a few years ago. It did wonders to my skin. My brown spots completely went away, it rejuvenated my dull, dry acne problematic skin. The major problem was the harsh side effects for the first 6 weeks of the treatment program. My face was red as a lobster one moment, peeling the next. My eye lids peeled! The dryness was almost unbearable the first three weeks. I looked so bad. Everyone at work felt sorry for me. I kept telling have to look ugly before you can look beautiful! Which is my tip. If you can go through 12 weeks (the first 6 are the worst) of red, peeling, dry irritated skin, Obgai is a great program. It takes some time and you need to measure the right amounts with the Retin-A but as I said, it tuned my skin around. I really need to go through another skin cycle again...but I just can't face it again. I was proud of myself I kept it up (face it I did this because I want to look good...and vanity almost won out) it was very hard. Now I think I need more than just good treatment program! I am ready for a non-surgery treatment! Not ready for the knife just yet.
