Skin Care Tip: Sometimes skin care simplicity pays off

submitted by tipAuthorInfo=gail burak

I'm in my mid 40's and have skin that looks younger, I'm told. My approach to keeping my skin young and healthy looking is simple. I drink as much water as I can everyday, well, at least six big glasses of water. I don't wear makeup on a daily basis, I do apply make up only when I go out in the evening, so, twice a month. I think make up is wonderful, but it is not so great for your skin's health. I wash and moisturize every evening before bed. I wash with cetafil and moisturize with either cetafil or nuetrogena. In the daytime I apply a moisturizer with SPF 15-30. I usually use neutrogena with SPF. When my skin gets weather affected or seasonally affected and looks a little worn out, I use a micro-bead derma abrasion applied with my fingertips to scrape off some of the dead cells. I only do that a few times a week, it can be harsh. I always moisturize right after any abrasive treatment.

That's all I do for my skin, it's simple and inexpensive, with great results: fresh, young healthy looking and feeling skin. It is cost and time efficient.
