Skin Care Tip: Simple body exfoliant and moisturizer

submitted by Alex K, Springfield, MO United States

Tip description / details:
This is a wonderful way to exfoliate your skin and moisturize it at the same time. I use it on my body (not face) in the shower once a week.

Ingredients:
white sugar, hair conditioner (scented or unscented, your choice)

How to prepare:
Put a cup of sugar in a container (small tupperware works well because it has a lid, so you can store it), then mix in conditioner slowly until you have a paste-like mixture (somewhere between the consistency of yogurt and toothpaste).

How to use:
Rub on your arms and legs, avoiding sensitive areas (the sugar is too rough for them and will hurt) for a minute or two, until your skin feels nice.

Results (observed by submitter):
The combination of exfoliant and moisturizer left my skin very soft.

Costs involved:
$5 for sugar, $3 for conditioner
