Skin Care Tip: Sour milk bath

submitted by Tracy

Tip description / details:
Cleopatra used to bathe in sour milk to help exfoliate and smooth her skin! Get a similar result from pouring a cup of milk into your bath, along with a drizzle of olive oil, then relax! Great to get your skin in tip top condition! Milk just past it's sell by date will be better, as it has a greater concentration of lactic acid - this is the chemical which helps to rejuvenate your skin, and works in the same way as AHA's in skin creams work.

Ingredients:
Milk, slightly out of date is best, but not too sour as it's too smelly.

How to prepare:
Pour into a warm bath

How to use:
Pour into a warm bath and relax for at least 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water afterwards, and make sure you moisturize!

Results (observed by submitter):
Lovely soft, smooth skin, skin feels softer after the first use, but used regularly it makes a real difference to the feel and look of your skin.

Costs involved:
pennies!
