Skin Care Tip: Keeping skin moist

submitted by Ruth, CO USA

In our dry climate, I have found that a combination moisturizer treatment works well for me. First, after showering, while skin is still moist, I use Neutrogena body oil, especially on legs and areas prone to dryness and flaking (not face). Probably any oil would work. I let this oil sink in a minute or two. Then, I apply a moisturizer. Doesn't seem to matter what kind. The combination of the two will take care of dry skin that either product alone can't heal. My skin doesn't itch or flake as it used to. I used to especially notice problems when I was using our hot tub. The hot water really dried my skin out! Now, even soaking about every other day I don't have dry skin problems. I do shower before hopping in the hot tub :)
