Skin Care Tip: Applying Facial Oils or Serums

submitted by Simone Karsman, Savannah, GA USA

Tip description / details:
Many women avoid using a Facial Oil because they think it will add to the oiliness of their skin or feel oily on their face. However, when properly applied, Facial Oils or Serums are quickly absorbed and leave the skin feeling very smooth and soft. After washing your face, with a soaked cotton pad, apply your toner or hydrosol. While your skin is still damp, apply the Facial Oil. The oil is more readily absorbed into damp skin rather than dry skin.

Carrier oils (sweet almond oil, emu oil, jojoba oil, borage oil, avocado oil, etc) specific to your skin type. Add specific essential oils that will normalize or treat your skin type.

How to prepare:
Use 30 drops essential oil to 1 oz carrier oil.

How to use:
Apply to clean, damp skin.

Results (observed by submitter):
Facial Oil or serum is a wonderful moisturizer, my skin feels very soft and smooth with consistent use.
