Skin Care Tip: Effective skin moisturizing

submitted by kappa meadows, lynchburg, VA United States

Many people with dry skin have been taught that it's best to not take a bath every day because it makes the skin even more dry. That is absolutely not the case. The most effective way to moisturize the skin is to bathe daily, get out of tub/shower, pat the skin dry with a towel, and then apply a moisturizer (preferably cream, my favorite is Cetaphil) all over the entire skin surface. This needs to be done within 3 minutes of getting out of shower. If done correctly, dry skin will get much better.
